LINFORD LAKES NATURE RESERVEBACK TO UK

My local nature reserve is an important natural habitat and forms part of a 'green corridor' for wildlife.I belong to a group of volunteers who help to maintain the reserve and hold open days for non permit holders that allows visitors access to the paths and hides.Otters,Kingfishers,Marsh Harrier,Barn Owls and Bittern have been observed here within the last twelve months.

There is also a healthy and diverse population of vegetation, insects and butterflies-it is a wonderful place. The reserve has recently been taken over by the Milton Keynes Parks Trust. There is a volunteers website and members have a Flickr group photostream with excellent photographs illustrating natures diversity at the reserve.
